Today seems to be 'get sick and die' day at work. 2 of our students are out sick, another missed work because he broke his leg this morning (not exactly sure how that happened), John's out sick, Michael's out to take care of his daughter who got the measels, Phil's still on crutches and leaving early to see the doctor, and it's generally been a very hospital day.

On the up side, I had a nice lunch with work (I've been going out to lunch all week. I know I probably shouldn't, but I really enjoy people's company, and we took a couple of people from other departments out today, which was different and interesting), got told that I was awesome by my boss, and chaoticgoodnik sent me a naked lady wearing fairy wings for my birthday.

Administrivia to Nikki: Don't mail the present, just bring it with you when we get together in 2 weeks!

Doing 2 system installs and 3 motherboard swaps this afternoon. Should be fun.

Well, that was fun. Just about everything that could have gone wrong without me being responsible did, including the network admin deciding to update the Netware catalog trees without bothering to ACTUALLY TELL ANYONE WHO MIGHT NEED TO KNOW, LIKE THE ENTIRE CAMPUS, YOU GOONEY FUCK.

Ahem, sorry.

Regardless, however, by 5pm, I have finished all but one single task that I had scheduled for today, and that task is to simply reformat/reinstall a machine that doesn't even need to go out until Wednesday.

Anyhow. After the shitty finish to work, I basically held Meg, Jeremy, and the new Meredith at gunpoint before they agreed to go to get Chinese at Sue Min. Brought home a decent amount of Spicy Twice Cooked Pork and a carry-out menu.
