I lay down for a nap last night about 7:30pm because I was feeling really lined out and figured I could wake up when Lisa got home.

The amount that common courtesy can get me into trouble constantly amazes me.

Boss: Matt, go over to this department and work on these three machines.
Me: Okay.

*Go to office, call the department in question*
Me: Hi, it's (name and title/department). I'm supposed to come over today to work on a couple of your machines, and wanted to see what the best time would be so that I don't interrupt anything.
Them: What? Huh? Oh! Are you doing (blank?)
Me: Yes, and I didn't want to disrupt anything when I come to take care of (blank)
Them: Well, I guess whenever.

*30 seconds later*
Boss: Matt, what the hell did you do?!?!
Me: All I did was call and make sure that I could come over without disrupting anything vital.
Boss: Well, don't do that anymore! Just go over and it doesn't matter, okay? You got them all flustered because you wanted to set a schedule.
Me: Yes, ma'am.

I can't decide if that was a good interview or not.

The interview itself went well. But the only major prospect I got from it was that the Akron office's major clients were going to need people 'soon', and he wanted to have a sit down to gauge me up.

In one evening, I have built a P4 3.0 computer for forlorn_dreams, and given anime explanations to PA's Tycho Brahe and been thanked for it by him. In an email which I have saved.
