So demeterschild appeared last night, seemingly at random. Stayed up perhaps too late, but it felt really good.

Unfortunately, this means I was a mess this morning. Though I swore that the 'snooze' button on my alarm was actually saying 'Snooch.' You can probably guess why this amuses me.

Now I want to go home and go back to bed rather than be at work, but I like getting paid, so...

Also: Alex and I will likely need moving help this weekend. Want to be involved?

So we have been dealing with $user for the past several days. She got a promotion into a new department, and on her Move form, all she put was "Set me up like $name2."

Obviously, this is a bit vauge. So we consulted with both $name and $name2 and tried to get her as configured as we could. However, she has been calling back on a daily basis, complaining about how things are not seamlessly perfect.

Today, this climaxed with "If you people knew how to do your jobs right the first time, I'd stop calling. I'm tired of calling every day for stuff you should have been able to do from my move form!"

Needless to say, the stuff she requested today was not on this most vapid move form, nor did she or $name2 mention it, ever, on the eight different times we spoke to them.

Marcellus Wallace is very much in effect, and he may have to choke a bitch real soon.

So my dad asks me to meet him for lunch, since he was working on something nearby today.

We sit for about 45 minutes after ordering. (We both have an hour.) Ask about our food. Keep getting noncomittals.

Manager comes out and apologizes, but their grill went out and they couldn't get it started again. Dodges question of why we weren't told and why they couldn't at least bring out the side salads we both ordered.

Fortunately I packed some bars, but.

Also: User gave me bad info on a ticket. Desktop goes out and tries to do something, gets yelled at. I get yelled at in turn and am being treated like I am an idiot who doesn't know anything.

Today's going really, really well.

I was sent an ad today for 'The Vibrator That Will Knock Your Socks Off!'

I'm not quite sure how to respond to this.

Things are doing better, I am calmer.

I start moving tomorrow. That's scary as hell.
