So we have been dealing with $user for the past several days. She got a promotion into a new department, and on her Move form, all she put was "Set me up like $name2."

Obviously, this is a bit vauge. So we consulted with both $name and $name2 and tried to get her as configured as we could. However, she has been calling back on a daily basis, complaining about how things are not seamlessly perfect.

Today, this climaxed with "If you people knew how to do your jobs right the first time, I'd stop calling. I'm tired of calling every day for stuff you should have been able to do from my move form!"

Needless to say, the stuff she requested today was not on this most vapid move form, nor did she or $name2 mention it, ever, on the eight different times we spoke to them.

Marcellus Wallace is very much in effect, and he may have to choke a bitch real soon.

Welcome to the corporate world, where those with the more expensive suits believe they're a better breed of animal than all the other Cro-Magnons. :(

The odd thing is, I still get treated better here 90% of the time than by Wooster users.

Oh yeah, well the suits are not ALL bad. :) And Wooster probably had the academic snobs, who can be just as bad or worse than corporate suits. But look out if someone is 'too good' to even look you in the eye, and refers to you or your department as 'you people'. :P

Welcome to what I have to deal with some days.

And though I have no idea who Marcellus Wallace is, I don't think I'd want to get in his way.

You obviously need to go rent Pulp Fiction and watch it tonight.

You are not the first to inform me of this. It's on the list of films I need to get around to seeing one of these days.

Are you really doing something better tonight? Clearly this is becoming an issue of cultural crisis.

I've got a culture fever and the only cure is more Pulp Fiction!

Arguably not, unless for some reason tonight happens to have a CSI I haven't seen.

Matt, dammit.. if you had read her mind and magically conjured up both what she actually needed and what her tiny little computer illiterate brain thought she needed, you wouldn't be in this mess.

How I wish people would realize that if they actually put some thought and planning into their requests BEFORE they made them, they wouldn't have to call back repeatedly to ask you to redo them. In my office people don't ever know what they want, just what they don't, and so they need to look at several options (each of which took hours of time to produce) until they see something that matches the vague notion in their little pea sized brains.

Can you tell I love my job? Smack the bitch once for me too.

Indeed. BZA, didn't you know that mind-reading was part of the required skill-set with this job?

This is why people should just give us free money. It'd be a lot easier than working.

This is why I want to push for a nationally recognized day called 'Tell It Like It Is Day', where all customer service jobs are legally allowed to tell people how stupid they are, why, and where they can go.
