(no subject)

Well, aside from accidentally leaving my lunch bag on the counter, it's been a fairly smooth morning. Surprising, given the company's coming back from a long weekend.

Reminder for self: Stop at the store and pick up superglue and some stuff for dinner tonight or tomorrow. We're running low.

Well, crap.

Went home to eat the lunch I'd forgotten, and it was nummy.
Got some packages in the mail, and bills that I'd already paid, and in fact noted that I'd already paid, yaaaaay!
Check internet....nothing.
Reset cable modem....still nothing.
Call Roadrunner....modem needs replaced and they'll come out Thursday.

That's a bit annoying, eh? Especially given that I was hoping to, y'know, talk to people tonight.

Ah-hah.

It seems the Roadrunner tech I talked to was an idiot.

According to their website, the Dublin Area is under a condition red service outage, and has been since 9:30am. I think I see why we weren't getting service! With luck it will be this and not the modem, but who knows when it will be back up?

My bill sure as hell better reflect the outage, though.
