Things and stuff, stuff and things.

Alex lent me his laptop last night to use, and to use in the evenings until I get my PC fixed. No city of heroes, obviously, but there is pokerpages.com, and that's a satisfaction in itself.

Work's been almost eerily quiet. A few calls, but nothing like the usual volume.

I'm missing skarlette something horrible. Love, if you see this, perhaps a chance to call me and let me know if you're OK? I didn't really get to see you all weekend. :/

In the 'small victories' pile, with a bit of coaching on how to play Omaha from Alex, I won a decent sized table on pokerpages, taking in about $20,000 of play money for my trouble. Also did fairly well in a couple of no limit holdem games, taking 4th in one and 5th in another. Not bad for my first night outside of playing mostly friends. Gives me a hankering for more real tables, and that's part of why I want to finish setting up a regular poker night. We'll see how it goes, though.

Calls lightened up after lunch. Yaay.

I want to go home. But I may try buying an IDE controller card and see if it fixes the PC. (Hope.)

Hmm.

John the ex-boss up in Wooster's offered me a free IDE controller. Catch is that I'd have to come and get it, because he can't drive for long distances right now due to carpal tunnel surgery.

I don't have time to do a full round trip to Wooster tonight. OTOH, I know that sexy_librarian and a few others are still in Wooster.

Any chance one of you would be willing to get the card and meet me halfway (exit 169 seems ideal.) I'd be willing to buy you dinner in great thanks!
