So, after waking, I was downstairs cleaning in the kitchen and listening to ESPN, when a commercial came on using a snippet of a song that I knew was familar. It was Joe Marine's old The Nearness of You.
By the end of the commericial, I was singing it softly, and I managed to remember the entire song in my proper voice part. It's probably a good thing that Alex is doing some overtime at OSU this morning, because when I hit my lower octave, I think it reasonated up through the house.
For that matter, I hope my neighbors like Big Band music...oh, well.
It was wonderful, and it was right,and that's all that matters, sometimes.

Steve came by on his way back from Medina just as Alex and I wrapped up our grocery shopping. Beer was offered and consumed, apple dumplings made and consumed, and poker was played. Came up in Texas Hold'em on both Steve and Alex, down in Omaha to Alex alongside Steve, and then Steve and Alex split me down the middle in 7-stud (and I think Steve edged Alex there.)
VERY fun. Missed doing that.

Hell, anyone else who could regularly make it to Columbus twice a month and is interested, contact me. Please have some knowledge of game beforehand, tho.
