Blood Is The Coin Of Victory!

So, after very positive reviews from PVPforums + Penny Arcade's rather stirring reccomendation, one of the first things I did when I got home today was download and install the new Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War demo.

After some CoH and before dedicated snuggles with Lisa, I actually played some of it.

Kids? If you like big guns, RTS, Warhammer, spectacular violence, or any of the above in combinations or by themselves? You should seriously think about buying it when it comes out next week. I've never been a huge 40k player (Thanks, GW, it seems nifty, but $500 for a starting army so I can actually play the game and all is a bit steep), but I was sucked in completely by the Tutorial and I look forward to tackling some of the campaign this weekend.

Drive, Drive Them Down The Field, Men of the Scarlet and Gray!

It's been a good day.

Woke up to an absolutely gorgeous morning, so Alex and I cracked all the windows and vacummed the house top to bottom. Then we ran down to Pyrinex so Alex could get new parts for his machine, and they were cutting deals on the new (and may I mention, award winning) Logitech X-620 6.1 surround sound speakers, so I was...well, rather bad, actually, and bought myself a set, as did Alex.

(BTW: Note to neeri, we're going to start assembling your new PC tonight. Surprise. :D You'll now also be getting a very loved set of Cambridge Soundworks 4.1s. They are good! Enjoy.)

Then, Alison called and asked if we'd take her somewhere to see the OSU game, so we stopped by, played with the kitties, and then went to Studio 35 for all you can eat Tailgate and the OSU game on the big screen. A game that OSU was predicted almost unanimously to lose by at least 4.

We walked away the winners. :D

It's been a very good day.
