Oh, god, I am so tired...

Work was closed, but I was still taking emergency pages. Not too bad.

But around 2pm, we decided to go out and finish Alex's christmas shopping.

45 minutes later and with the help of 6 other people in the neighborhood, we finally got Alex's car and their cars out of the lot and onto the street.

We ate after that, because we were freezing and needed food. Then, Wal-Mart!

Nuff said.

Best Buy was also hit, where I did get a reward for surviving this: Found one of 3 Nintendo DS systems they'd actually gotten, and put it on the BBY card (What's the holidays without increased debt?) and Alex was able to finish his shopping with a final stop at Borders.

Now, frankly, I am not leaving this house again!

Oh, crap - almost forgot:

Phuzzy, Chris? Got your christmas cards today. :D Alex was confused as to who I knew in Canada or Wisconsin.

Ok. Plans continue.

Lisa's actively looking for a job in Columbus, and there's already been an interested response from a nanny agency here. :>

She's also looking at perhaps going to OSU to get primary education certification and degree. Also good.

Current plan is for her to go home to El Paso for a bit for family time and to see her mother, then come to Columbus - she'll probably start shipping her stuff here in the next couple weeks. Unfortunately, she will probably not be able to come out here for New Years, but we will have a lot of time after that to make up for it. :>

Only snag will be the car she was bequested. I think that we may drive to Chicago, pick it up, drive it back with one of us following.

Phil, if we come out to get the car once you're back in Chicago, could we perhaps stay there overnight to help with planning and such?

Indeed, do many things come to pass.

I don't feel nervous about this - don't know why. Just feeling very confident. I know we will get through things, and that we will find a way.
