Feb. 6th, 2005 01:41 amAnd lo, they went forth.
We celebrated a ton of Februrary birthdays among the Cow-town crew tonight, and happily Megpie, Nikki, and LJ were along for the ride.
Most interesting was probably that Alex and I found a very nice poker tabletop at the Discovery Store of all places, including a carry-case that's about the size of a large fighting kite.
I strapped it to my shoulder for a good bit of our trek through Columbus afterwards, and proudly referred to it as my "man-purse."
Alex really didn't go for me attempting to set it up and run 3-card monte games when I was occasionally left in the B&N cafe and similar areas to make sure I didn't get fingered as a possible shoplifter because of said man-purse, tho. Ah, well. I just wanted to make us some extra income!
Dinner was had at Molly Woo's, and we introduced Megpie to Good Sushi for the first time. Well, mostly. The samon rolls kinda sucked. But the spicy ahi? All to the good.
An unfortunate incident also occured, but we moved on, moved up, and got some bubble tea.
Megpie was also new to this, and found that she could basically use the tapioca beads as internal buckshot. And she managed to get us fascinated by her bead-retrieval techniques.
Smashy-smashing followed in SSBM, along with giving Patches a "Hyper-Mouse", and in general, it goes into the books as a good day.
