Yes, that's the game winner.
Nov. 4th, 2006 12:59 amThey were -really- good seats.
An absolutely awesome evening - the seats were in a fantastic location (turns out it was a block of season ticket seats bought by Sterling for giveaways, attaboys, and general perkage - we ended up sitting next to some of my coworkers and their families, inculding one guy from the engineering team and his 6 year old who got to see his first hockey game, which was terribly cute. Also, in a strange co-incidence, the guy who sang the American and Canadian anthems tonight was someone I sang in the AOSFYC and Cardinal Chorale with, and he also taught me how to play good tournament Euchre. Small world.
The energy and emotion was just phenomenal, and the game had plenty of ups and downs to keep us locked into it - and to cap it out, a 12 round shootout!!!
Afterwards, we made it to Barleys after recovering Lisa and met
dklegman for immediate and much needed foodage, and then our fatigue took hold and getting home became the next big priority. (I am sorry we missed getting to see you at the St. James, Rich, but there will be another time!)
All in all, best Friday ever. And man, I gotta earn a chance to use those company seats again. :D
