So, back on Saturday, alathaniel and I got jumped in EVE by a group of pirates. (Not NPC rats, pirates.)

I got robbed to the tune of 25 million ISK and I was pretty pissed off for a lot of the weekend.

Fast-forward to today when one of my higher-ups in the corp asked me to do some research on the corp who took us down. I knew they were a dedicated pirate/merc corp, but after reading that they have a minimum skill requirement of 20,000,000 skill points for new recruits, I really don't feel quite so bad.

(For some explanation for the non-EVE crowd, I've been training and skilling with "sincere intent" to get myself into a battleship, and pretty much running my skills up one way or another since the first day I started playing, about 4 months ago. I'm considered pretty darn good for where I am and what my stats are, and I've only got 3,000,000 skill points. That fight really was a midget trying to fight against the '76 Celtics.)

Thanks to mscongeniality, I got to read this neat little article on what I can only call the aftermath of Bravo's reality shows, both for a lot of the winners, and for the network itself. Fun read!
