While talking to mom to get the # for scheduling another appointment for Alison (though after I'll be leaving), she let slip that "Dad decided we needed another credit card (with appopriate sarcasm on 'needed'), and therefore went to H.H. Gregg, opened one with them, and used the bonus to buy the ($800 CD-RW 4.0 megapixel mavica that he originally said he didn't -care- if he got) camera today, instead of waiting for March like we agreed to."

So, it would appear that we'll be giving dad the Reciept alongside his camera that we bought him.

We busted our asses for you....and you lied to us. You lied to us TWICE.

First you said you didn't care about what model of camera. That was a lie.

Then you said that you wouldn't do anything until March. That was a lie.

Why can't we even try to give you a gift without you destroying it?

All I wanted was to make an effort to give my sister a good christmas, and part of that was making you happy...

Getting you the camera meant a -lot- to her. This entire thing was something she wanted...mom told her, too, and I could see the hurt in her eyes while she was on the phone.

Why couldn't you let us have that? I even dropped a fairly heavy hint that we were GETTING YOU the damn camera last night to keep you from buying stuff on Amazon...and you didn't listen. Or didn't care.

But then....you never do.
