Notes from the road:
Mar. 16th, 2002 11:10 pmScribbled stuff and thoughts that I am transcribing at Blain and Sarah's.
Los Angeles: Got to go to a Kinokuniya bookstore. Spent far too much and loved it. Have phat loots for room and a small token of gratitude for
ijikeru.
Santa Monica: Went to "THE English Pub" with British Mike and Scott. Consumed 1 serving Bangers and Mash, 1/3 basket chips, cole slaw, 1 Jameson's whiskey sour, 1/2 pint Guinness, 2 bottles Bacardi Silver. Conclusions: I like british food, Jamesons, and Bacardi. Guinness I leave to the irish, because it's too damn bitter for me.
Got a Game Boy Advance, MegaMan Battle Network, and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Revolution. Much fun. MMBN is addictive, and several people on bus have GBAs and SSF2TR. I am currently king of the bus in that respect. W00t.
Sacramento: Stuck with $66 cab fare when host family refused to drive us to departure point. Grrrsome. Director has promised reimbursement. Saw a woman hit by a cable car that she stepped in front of just as we reached the Cathedral, and a tenor was accosted by a homeless woman at intermission. (Asked if he was going into the Cathedral basement to fuck a corpse. Quite amusing...)
San Francisco: Enjoying pleasant time with Sarah and Blain. Have hooked both of them on MMBN, and upgraded Sarah's computer. Hoo-ah....
Happy birthday,
ixx. Wish I'd been there. Will celebrate it with you when able. :D
Love to all, and stuff.
