Feb. 28th, 2003 09:37 amOkay, so
ijikeru has a point that a Friday 5 about reading is too hard to resist.
1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
Fiction, either sci-fi, historical, or period literature. Manga, too. And I suppose that since we can count LJ as a hypertext mixture of fiction and non-fiction, throw that in there, too.
2. What is your favorite novel?
Mmm. Good question. Probably either Bujold's Mirror Dance, or Harry Turtledove's The Guns of The South. Throw the complete works of Tolkien in there, too. Oh. And Snow Crash. And....well...dammit. Lots.
3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
Oof. At one time? Probably Annabel Lee. Now...? I'm not sure at the moment.
4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
Now that I finally have a complete works of first folio Shakespeare, having the time to read -all- of it would be kinda nice.
5. What are you currently reading?
Well, lessee. Guide to The Technocracy, re-reading several of the books I used for my thesis, Turtledove's American Empire: The Center Cannot Hold, some journals for class, and Boccaccio's Decameron, also for class. (Currently on the 7th day.)
