Mar. 7th, 2003 08:45 amOh. Almost forgot to mention what I did with Granda and Uncle Jeff yesterday:
Met with the head chef of The Olde Jaol restaurant (like the actual fancy restaurant, not the tavern), and he took us through the cells and banquet area to decide where we want to have our table for the lunch/party immediately post graduation. Settled on the first cell block on the right as you come in the door, for those who have been there. It's the largest, and easily fits our reservation of 14, with room to expand if needed, especially since they've not gotten too many more reservations yet.
But then the cool part was he started asking about the preferences of the diners, so he can plan the menu! Told him I'm likely to have at least one or two vegetarians, but most people would be fine with the normal lunch menu they offer there, which includes large salads, some medium to small steaks, chicken dishes, some pasta, etx. But it was really cool to do, you know? Especially that he took the kind of interest to make sure everyone will be happy.
I will admit, planning a party this far in advance is kinda wierd...but I kinda like it.
Also, the new shoes Mom had ordered through Grandma arrived, so I got those, and will be breaking them in today so if needed I'll be ready to walk a few hundred miles in them.
*New shoooooooooooooes!*
Ear pain greatly reduced, hearing seems just about normal, some light pressure feeling. Much happier.

Date: 2003-03-07 06:17 am (UTC)Well, you know you have a seat set aside for you at that table of 14, yes? And so do
Plus, you also all are invited to the reception my grandmother apparently wants to throw May 31st. (But if you can't make that, it's cool. :D The big thing for me is seeing you all on that day.)
