Mar. 19th, 2003 04:42 pmMmmmm. Reading Robin Wood's The People of Pern. So. Pretty. So beautiful. I love her art. Even though I own one of her pieces, I so want more. And this book is amazing.
Though, I have to wonder. Menolly, Lessa, Sharra, Nerilka, are all described as 'plain', 'unpretty', or 'unattractive'. Yet when Wood paints them, I see incredibly beautiful women, and McCaffrey's personalities make them quite vibrant and attractive.
Odd.
