What a lame name. What ever happened to names like "Anaconda." "Overlord." "Fortitude." Even "Linebacker"!

We need more creativity, y'know?

Regardless of peoples' opinions on the right or wrong of it, it's an armed conflict and people will die.

Does it really matter how cool/lame the name is?

Does a cool name make people less dead, or does it just make them feel better when they die?

Honestly, it doesn't matter, and it doesn't make people less dead. But it's better to debate this than dwell on the fact that I will almost certainly know some of those who are going to die.

This is the Bush white house, remember. They toot their own horn whenever they can and try to put an overly heroic spin on everything. Remember Afghanistan? 'Operation Enduring Freedom?'

I propose, the "Bush Government Drinking Game." Sip whenever Bush pauses for more than half a second in a speech to sound noble, whenever he flubs a line in his speech, and whenever he uses the terms "terror," "weapons of mass destruction," or "freedom." Two sips if "freedom" is used as a project name (e.g. Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, etc.) Yet another sip if "freedom" is on the display board behind him. Matter of fact, take one for every instance of "freedom" on the display board behind him. Game ends when someone throws a bottle at the TV.

And now, off to bed with me; should've been there a couple hours ago.
