Found out today that even though my parents promised, once upon a time, to pay off my student loans for me as a reward for how well I did in Highschool....they're not going to.

I assume it is because of the cost of Alison's medical treatments.

I assume. All mom told me was "We'll try to help when we can."

The only good news is that my payment will only be about $130 a month, even if it is gonna be for 10 years or so. We'll see what happens.

Putting yourself through college is one of the most honorable things a man can do. The 50 grand I've personally sunk into my education was worth every penny.

Yes and no? The money which I am going to need to push into this could have gone towards a house, or more importantly, a Masters Degree, which I would have preferred doing, particularly since I fought tooth and nail to earn the major scholarship which is paying for $50,000 of my $75,000 bill.
