So how much trouble do I get in if I kill a member of a best friend's biological family because the creature in question is deliberately poisoning the lives of everyone around her?

Provide a plausible alibi beyond "she deserved it!" and you might get away with it. Shouting "she's coming right at us!" may gain you points if you live in backwoods Colorado.

Beyond the moral tragedy, I'd say the above statement would be compelling evidence for murder in the first degree, which would carry the minimum sentence of 30 years in Ohio.
