What a day.
The morning wasn't bad. My dad came by and showed our office McAffee ePolicy Organizer 2.5.1. For those who are in the techie biz, but not heard of this, it's a neat little tool for network-wide anti-virus management that I'd be happy to explain more about, but I'm not gonna spam the journal too much with it, yet. Suffice to say that it was a nice demo, my dad was thanked for showing it to us, I got a lot of respect for bringing him in and bringing the product to people's attention, and then my mom and sister met up with the office et all and we had a nice big lunch that someone else paid for. Woo.
The afternoon, however, was one crisis after another, the most amusing being the fact that a woman in Chemistry screamed her head off about how their new high-speed laser printer/copier was a 'piece of shit', because it kept jamming, and then I got to show her that the reason it was jamming was that she kept loading paper with hole-punches into it.
Think about what happens to anything that might snag on a 7,000 PPM high speed duplexing copier. Especially when she set it up to duplex, collate, and staple.
Yeah.
So I got the joy of explaining why she had been an idiot, with the rest of her office turning on her like pirahna. It was really, really coool.
Now, I'm almost done, and getting ready for a weekend off, sneezing my head off, and planning to take laundry up to my grandparents to get it done for me rather than doing the coin-op laundry thing.
