In that case, it depends on why you quit adminning. If you did it because you have moved on, and no longer wish to do so because it no longer brings you a positive balance in the entertainment/a sense of it being worthwhile column, then I'd say yes. You did the right thing.
If you did it because someone pissed you off, and even though you still enjoyed it you wanted to hurt them, then you probably still did the right thing (getting away, getting some balance), but you might want to examine your motives.
And if you did it because your principles would accept no other response, then you most certainly did the right thing.
