You really have to be impressed by George Carlin, even if you don't like him.
The man is much closer to 70 than 60, and has been doing what he enjoys, non stop, since 1956. 1956! He's made a damn good living, still hits over 150 gigs a year, and even if you don't like his act (hell, I love his act but I'll admit his material can get repetitive), you really have to respect his professional success and continued moral stances.
Best of all? He's trained himself to play just as well to Doctoral candidates as he does to the guys down at the factory, and knows just how to hit the various gears.
This thought brought around by watching him briefly on the Tonight Show before falling asleep on Lisa, and thinking about how old he looked.
