Oct. 23rd, 2003 05:24 pmSo I finally caved, and put iTunes for Windows onto my work machine, figuring that if I decided I hated it, the damage would be far less...well...severe. (.5 gig of Mp3s vs 9+)
I'm in love with the damn thing. I think every little niggling tweak I got annoyed by on the Mac version has been made a disablable option, particularly re-arranging the music file structures. (Reorganize /my/ collection? After I spent 4 years perfecting a system? Oh, I don't think so...)
The smart playlists still are a bit annoying, simply because I can't create a genre playlist and change the play order without shuffling manually through or altering the ID tags, but I can deal with that.
Creepily, however, I was playing Code Crush with visualization on...and it somehow managed to present a display chillingly similar to the 1st Tom Baker Dr. Who openers. I was just waiting for his face to pop up on the screen and the Tardis doors to appear.
However, I have to admit, I'm in love. I'm gonna put it on Basileus when I get home and probably spend some quality time making more smart and not-so-smart playlists in preparation to Pod.
Long day at work, tho. Lots of going out, hauling things, etx. But I got a good lunch out of it, and tomorrow, we get paid.
