Nov. 12th, 2003 05:44 pmOne small frustrating thing about my parents.
Remember how they're short on money, and that's why in return for help replacing my motherboard and such, no Christmas and no graduation present? Oh, and no help with my loans?
Was cheerily told that they've sold my mom's van (which, while admittedly used, we only bought two years ago, going on two and a half), and that they've bought a 2003 Chevy Avalanche. They had to drive out to Marysville (a 3 hour drive), tho, to make sure they bought one with all the options they wanted, and to get one that didn't have the heavy plastic moldings installed. (So gauche, don't you know?) But this is good, because now they have a nice big truck to go with Dad's other truck (a GMC Sonoma, sport chassis), which they can turn into an SUV when the family wants to go on trips! Oh, and a brand new payment/loan, instead of just saving the money from having both the Sonoma and the van paid off! They didn't even sell the van to a dealership to help with the payments on it! They sold it for cash.
Not that I am feeling a bit bitter, but this is just...
When I found out about it last night, it so shocked me that I could only tell one person, and even then I didn't fully believe it. Now it's been confirmed by a little email about it, and I still don't know what to say or think.
