Dec. 21st, 2003 07:21 pmFirst, I want to start this entry by wishing Happy Birthday to
angeljester,
deza, and Nia.
Second, I wish to thank The Cheesecake Factory for their gift of Spicy Crispy Beef with jasmine rice. A $11 dinner that has provided me dinner, lunch, and dinner again. Oversized servings+reasonable eating is the rawk.
Third...well...I survived. The church service was about you'd expect from Rite II Episcopaelian on the final sunday of Advent, and the choir music for it and Christmas Eve is fortunately everything that I know how to do because I sang it for 8 odd years at St. John's.
Only really odd/awkward moment was that the Precentor/Rector saw me come into the church and ran up, gave me a big hug, and semi-screetched "WELCOME HOME!" (Not her fault. She just has one of those voices that gets screetchy at volume. Fortunately for the church, they mike her for the sermon and Gospel.) I hugged her back and thanked her, but it seemed hollow.
The church didn't feel like I'd come home. Neither did being with my parents. Sitting in my apartment listening to Iron Chef in the background while I arrange dinner tomorrow with
spartanfan seems more like home.
Finally, I want to thank everyone for the support and hugs and thoughts sent. All of you, particularly
skarlette,
chaoticgoodnik,
spartanfan,
avylin,
demeterschild, and
gigerlicious have been not only a constant reserve of strength and friendship, but also support in helping me not only to make it through things lately, to but understand myself better as I do.
Every single one of you is the best friend I could possibly have in my life, right now.
Merry Christmas, and may whichever God(s) you look to bless you.
