And then, sometimes it's people who make me sick.

Go read the newspage at PA today.

I was part of this. I helped. We gave those kids somewhere around 200,000 worth of toys. And the media not only twisted it, messed up the story, and cast it out, but then tied it to the Take-2, "Videogames kill/warp kids" bullshit?

People tried to show that the stereotype is wrong, and that the subgroups supposedly 'hurting' children actually gave a shit and were willing to help. And got it spewed back at them.

I am glad the kids got stuff. That we made their lives better. That is, overall, the important part.

But how other people decided to treat everyone involved in it makes me sick.

It's ridiculous and a shame to boot, unfortunately, there is little you can do about it aside from getting into one hell of a debate baout the article with the author and the publishing company. Anything more "Ammusing" would be illegal and would also do nothing to disabuse the public of the flasity of the tone of the article.

I can't believe how shamefully illogical that NYP article is. PA is right, though - the NYP is nothing but a tabloid.
