k, my first reaction was to scream because I hate snakes and the thought of one in something that I might drink makes my skin crawl. BTW I know it's a really silly and girlie to be terrified of snakes:) However, even given my hatred of snakes I have to say that it's way evil to kill them that way! I guess I would ask why you would want it?
Is it just me or do the Japs have an appalling lack of concern for the pain they inflict on other humans animals? Carving up a fish or an eel while it's still alive for a meal is a horrifying concept to me, and what this fellow does to habu snakes is something along similar lines.
The unspoken consensus underlying Western consciousness is that we should be emulating the East somehow. I think we should be taking a closer look before we do that.
...sorry. Dunno how I ended up doing an anti-East rant there. Umm...hope you're back on your feet by the time you read this. Which you probably will be, considering how late to posts I customarily am.
Depends, honestly. Some food dishes, yes, they prepare in ways people find shocking, mostly stuff that comes from the sea. However, other animals and fish they treat incredibly well, and give a great deal of preferential treatment to.
But, it's no worries. :D And I do feel somewhat better. We'll see. I think I'm gonna need the whole weekend to recover.
It's not just Easterners who mistreat their feed animals - it could be argued that we are much worse, what with all the bovine growth hormones, the antibiotics, and the terrible conditions in which we raise our farm animals. It's a world-wide problem, and isn't centralized on the Japanese, I think.
hey you want something that will fuck you up, try Absinthe. A small amount will take the varnish off the floor (really truly) and BOY do I have some stories to tell about its effects on humans;)
