So, thanks to my shorter hair, I'm learning all about 'bed-head'.

For instance, today is the second time I've woken up, gone to brush my teeth before I get into the shower, and found out that my hair is all sticking straight up.

Not 'puffed' up, not messed around, not tangled at all. Just straight up. Exclamation points could learn from my hair.

This is, frankly, really odd.

Hello.

Exclamation points could learn from my hair.

For whatever reason, perhaps because it's the first thing I read when coming into the office, this tickled me immensely.

Sorry about the bedhead. Try washing your hair in the morning, since going to sleep on wet hair leads to.. interesting morning results, and if it's wet in the morning you can either blow dry or air dry it and it'll look vaguely normal. Works for me anyway. :)

That's the odd thing. I /only/ shower in the mornings. Always. And as far as I know, I don't sweat that much when asleep, or anything that ought to be causing it.

Maybe my hair's just trying to make a break for it?

Worse, actually, but that's surprisingly close.

(Yay, Rankin-Bass!)

Short hair just does that. It doesn't have enough weight for gravity to drag it back down, so when you sleep on it funny, it stays that way. That or they're fairly gullible, so when the pillow tells them "hey, let's stand on end," they go along with it, never realizing how silly it will make you look.
