!!!!!

Checked my 'home' voicemail while at lunch.

There's a message from Primerica Citigroup about wanting to talk about my resume for a 'career opportunity' at their Columbus office.

Returned his call, mmmyes. Left a voicemail. Might call him just to actually speak with him.

Um... Be careful. I think that's the people who called me in for a 'job interview' once only for me to find out they'd called about fifty other people in as well to try and get them to be managers for new branches they were opening. We had to pay for training and then we would be on our own once the places opened. Up to us for them to make or break and the company wouldn't help us out in the least if we hit hard times. So... Just be cautious with this one, eh? I could be wrong about the name, it's been a couple years.

I'll keep my eyes open. But if they really want to just have me on their tech support staff, it might be different.

Yeah, I was contacted, and went.

What a fecking rip.

"Do our job, so we don't have to!. And pay for all your own stuff, damnit! We're part of CitiCorp now, so we don't care about you, really."

Fecking Wankers.

The whole company is based on a reversed pyramid scheme

Geck.

Well, maybe I'll take an interview just to use it as a way to hopefully speed up scheduling my last interview with Medex.

I too can verify.

Primerica = scammage.

Sorry, dear one.

Oh, it's no problem. As you can see from the post I just chunked in, things may be changing for the better regardless.

When in doubt, check 'em out. :)

The classic evil corporation model, Primerica (in its short lifespan) is a notorious predator of recent college graduates and other folks between jobs. I suggest you avoid with extreme prejudice.

Yeah, but I have some scruples.

That said, check my next update...

I have already wasted my time in falling for their sales pitch. They are very good salespeople. They are trained very well in all the arts of making the sale. What was scary, though, is how much I believed them until just recently. The really pathetic thing is that I have fallen for a similar scam in the past.

Here are the red flags-

-they ask for $200 up front
-they ask you to impose on your friends and family
-they make you feel like a million bucks everytime you go into the office but they don't pay you unless you make a sale

Good job in dodging that bullet. I actually called my brother, my dad, and my best friend's dad to apoligize for almost getting them involved.
