So. Um.

In the absence of Lisa, I spent most of the day plaing UT2k4 or SWG.

Yeah. I'm pretty much the quintessential guy in the basement right now. But at least it's not my parent's basement. Though, at least I had fun. And, in my defense, I'm going up to my grandparents to have an early dinner/late lunch type thing and be social/familial, so that does count for something, right?

I'm training Marksman/Brawler to work towards Commando. (Artisan will come.) John (from work) got me hooked up with 30,000 credits, a bunch of melee weapons, carbine, pistols, and a bowcaster. Thanks to some heavy hunting and a few large group raids into Fort Tusken and the Bluestone temple on Yavin IV, I've gotten through Rifle III, Carbine II, Pistols I, Ranged Support II, Two-handed weapons I, and Unarmed Combat I. Going to max Rifle, then Carbine, then pistols, then work my unarmed and get my Artisan. Plus, I can do training to build my AP for master levels, and then get my commando on.

Oh, and I've gotten hooked into a guild with John and a bunch he knows. Large guild, has it's own major city on Rori. Cool stuff. And like I said, if you're over in Radiant Galaxy, give Aarchar a holler. We'll go do stuff.

Finally, in the sappy part, I love you, Lisa, even though you probably won't read this for awhile. But that's okay. Because every day with you /is/ Valentine's day, in the sense that I love you, and want to make you feel special every time I am thinking of you.

Can you be a Jedi in SWG? If so, why have you not picked a Jedi? I really don't care for Star Wars, but ho shit, Jedis are classy.

Jedis are different for each account to obtain, unfortunately. You need to get holocrons, which tell you what classes to master to unlock the Force Sensitive Slot. Only then can you play a Jedi. So, it's a pain in the ass. a challenge I'd try. Though I need to challenge myself with HArdcore D2X PK soon. But y'know. :D

As the mighty and amazing Rando has said, Jedi takes a bunch of hoop jumping, and also comes with a lot of penalties. (For example, Jedi are the only class ATM with permadeath.)

Besides, Commandos get long range missiles, flamethrowers, and rifles longer than a full sized hoagie.

Good t'know you're digging it. Even if Mr. Packet Shaper's being an asshat.

Thanks to all the stuff SWG does locally, the only time slowdown really becomes a problem is when there are lots of players around me. (Usually near starports.) Otherwise, it's remarkably good.

By the way, if you start playing, get in Radiant Galaxy, and /tell Aarchar with who you are. I will drop by and see what I can do about giving you stuff.
