Well, that's about time.

It's not that I don't like Dean. I think he did very well and he had some good ideas. But sweet god, when you get sackbeat for more than a month, it's time to admit defeat, not string it out and only invite more hits. Conserve yourself and be ready for more.

Oh, I totally agree that up until the 3rd round of Primaries, he was totally right to stay in the race. But when he was hurt enough to say it was a one state make/break, it was time to pack. And he can do a lot to keep people very energized if he keeps up his networking and support.

I suspect the GOP smears will lose a lot of credibility as things go on. They're too weak for any authority calls, I think. I don't see Kerry/Dean as possible. Too regional. Kerry/Edwards or perhaps Edwards/Dean if the polls relaly change, but likely Kerry/Edwards.

Don't underestimate a Kerry/Clark ticket... Clark is a 'military man,' and even with his 'integrity issues' he could be chosen to show that the Democrats can stand up to the Republicans on national security.

Yeah, but for military appeal I'd think Kerry's got that covered. Though I admit that Clark does give the 'Southern' factor, which seems to be important this year.
