So, I've been looking at getting a new phone, when I get into Columbus. (Or wherever.)

I think I'm going to stay with Verizon, since their new 'in' deal is basically just free mobile to mobile, and even better, they still offer $40 for 400 minutes a month of non-mobile calls. I'll port my number over to a phone no longer paid for by my parents, and as part of that, see if I can upgrade to a new phone. I love my Nokia 3260, but it's almost 4 years old, now, and starting to show age quite clearly. However, finding another Nokia through Verizon (at least without buying my own) is tricky, at least for the nationwide plans.
However, I think the 3589i looks pretty decent, not to mention, AFFORDABLE. I can't understand shelling $600 for a cellphone. The Blackberry or a Treo, okay, I can kinda see. But $600 for something that's just a phone? Sheesh. Anyone reading this own one? Use one? Seen one? Are they good?

I think I'll for a 2 year plan and not have to pay activation. Keeps cost down, and it's not like I'd be getting rid of the thing after a year unless work got really crap. I know it'll be a little bit before I figure out quite what to get, I think this is the best place to start. Anyone have opinions, horror stories, whatever?

It's a stupid, silly little thing to start serious plans with, but why not.

I go Verizon, and I enjoy my Kyocera 2325. For reference, it's the newer version of the Virgin Mobil SuperModel. I'll let ya take a look at it this weekend. It's shiny. ^_^

I own a 3586i through MetroPCS and I'm fond of it. it's grown on me, slowly. (I switched from a Virgin Mobile Kyocera phone of some stripe, not the SuperModel.)
