Just saw an ad for Intel centrino wireless chips, and a couple using their laptop and a camera to show off the Colloseum to their friends back in the US.
Only problem? The laptop was a G4, the camera was an iSight, and both groups using computers were running OS X....
Oh, well!

Date: 2004-04-26 08:26 pm (UTC)I saw some finance ad that had a guy sitting around this huge office with ginormous glass windows looking out on a rocky beach, and a pair of Cyclopean Cheese Grater G4s were sitting under his desk, not hooked up to anything.
Powerbooks occasionally pop up inappropriately in Microsoft software ads, and you can almost hear 50 maclots simultaneously jab the Update Weblog button when that happens. ;-)
...On a side note, I despise the design of most non-Thinkpad windows laptops. Thinkpads are cool because they're stealth-black obelisks of ruthless business. They look like one day they'll all fly to Jupiter and tell you to keep off Europa. I like that in hardware.
I can't get behind the bulbous rubbermaid laptops that sport ten kinds of case plastic and as many blue LEDs.

Date: 2004-04-26 09:15 pm (UTC)You know, I haven't gone that far, but yes, whenever a mac shows up on the MS site (mostly because it's clip art photos), I do probably make more about it than I should. That and to prove I'm really pathetic, I'll not only point out it's a mac, but try to determine which exact model mac it is. We all know it's a powerbook from the mid/late-90s, but was it a 1400, 3400, or early model G3 powerbook?
