On the other hand, I got to wipe up at a tabletop game of BattleTech for the first time in almost a year, finally going down in 2nd place due to Alex getting a lucky headshot on an otherwise pristine Thug.

LB-20x into partial cover, and he rolled 16 pellets. :/

But, my SRMs and PPCs back left only 1 point left in his center torso, so at least I had the agonizing frustration of wishing that one more SRM had hit statistical average. :D
