Well, what an interesting turn of things.
Jul. 7th, 2004 03:55 pmAlex and I were going to be meeting my dad this evening for dinner and then to go over to the Powder Room for a bit of relaxing small arms therapy.
We are now still planning to do this, but also to go down to Campus.
You see, Alex caught a student mentioning that she is moving back to Germany and therefore needs to sell all her stuff off rather quickly, NOW. Everything is apparently in quite good condition, and he was invited to take a look.
Hover Vacuum Cleaner
Iron
Ironing Board
Movable Cabinet with Plastic Drawers
2 sets of 4 setting silverware
electric whisk
4 dining room chairs (She did offer a dining room table and a coffee table, too, but we have perfectly good ones.)
Folding table from World Market
2 folding chairs
2 file cabinets
Queen sized mattress + linens
2 comforters for mattress
coffee maker
glasses, cookware, dishes
arm chair
picture frames.
We offered her $150 for the lot of larger items and our picks of the cookware/glassware, which is actually about $30 more than she'd get if we purchased them piecemeal. She tentatively agreed, based on how much glassware/cookware we want, so we're going to be going down to see her tonight and taking dad's Avalance as well for the mattress and chairs.
