So, when my grandparents bought me my bedframe, they were told it could be expanded to a Queen.

So I go to do that this morning before I leave for work...and there's no way possible to do this, once I got the box spring off.

Call the chain we bought it from (Original Mattress Factory.)

"Sorry, yes, our frames are non-expandable. I'm afraid the only way to get the Queen sized rails is to buy a new frame."

I've already committed to having the box spring delivered tonight, so can't go back on that. I guess I'm just going to have to buy a bed frame and let my grandparents know we got a bit ripped off.

I'd be asking who told them the rails were expandable. They have a bill of sale or a receipt, yes?

Time to take that to the management of the company. They should want to know their salespeople are lying to get sales.

Unfortunately, we bought this more than a year ago, and he isn't sure about the reciept. However, when I go to the factory store, I do intend to bring this up.

Good idea. It's definitely worth pursuing and might give you practice cowing salespeople. Always a useful skill to hone.
