It made a decent amount of sense, and really, that is part of why I did it.
I'm very interested in doing the project because I'll enjoy it, but the fact that it will hopefully get me some positive attention (and perhaps accelerate the chances of my getting hired full time as opposed to being a consultant/contractor) will be really nice.
