Fuck AAA in the ear. A $15 anodized steel garden shovel did what they could not after 7 HOURS of waiting.

MY CAR IS FREE.

Truth be told, AAA was probably dealing with folks like I encountered last night:

On the drive home, the residential street I turn onto was blocked by a stuck minivan and a tow truck which was winching it off of a snowbank. Since backing out onto a busy main road wasn't especially wise, I decided to park and wait since they were making gradual progress.

After a while, somebody in a puny Celica decides to zoom right onto my bumper and wonders why I'm not trying to drive around the tow truck twenty yards in front of me. So he drives around me, realizes he's going nowhere, gets right onto the tow truck's bumper and begins shouting at the guy operating the winch, who has at this point almost finished with the van.

He continued to shout (while blocking the tow truck's eventual way out) for entire minutes before he backs up in a huff, does a three point turn which kicks slush everywhere, nearly collides with me on his way out, and fishtails his way back to the main road.

Oh, I knew they were likely swamped. I mostly just wish that they told me "Hey, it might be tomorrow" instead of "1-3 hours" and then never showing up. We would have gotten the shovel earlier. :D
