This includes "frienditto". If you are part of this service or any other like it and are on my friends-list, please tell me and I will lock the friends-only portion of this journal, or I will defriend you, at my sole option. If you do not tell me and I find that you are part of this service or any other like it, I will defriend you.

The entire purpose of the frienditto service is to steal people's privacy. The introduction even says it's to "get something hot that they didn't want me to read." I don't think I have to explain why that's offensive.

It's a service that's being billed as a way to download any entry that you might have access to on livejournal. You give them your account info and the url of any user's entry, and it goes, gets the content, strips headers, and puts it on a page for you. And if it's friends only or private, the only way to make the entry friends-only in Frienditto is if you pay for it.

Ugh. That entire site gives me that uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach.

The fact that the webmaster boasts 8m "hits" and sounds like a fifteen-year-old does little to nothing to calm me.

Might as well just fuck making any entry FO now... either Public, or Private.

I can only hope that bradfitz and the LJ Abuse team are at least aware of this, even if they can't exactly do anything about it.
