1. What is it that you are doing at work now?

Well, a lot of things.

On my normal day at work I am...
-Responsible for cell phone deployments, accounts, troubleshooting, and replacements for our Dublin office.
-Managing Wireless email doohickeys for North America. This includes...
*Carefully attempting to keep our Goodlink server alive until we retire all of our slowly failing
Goodlink G100s, replacing units when they fail from an increasingly dwindled stock, and making sure all
of them are talking nice.

*Piloting Blackberries to our Canada and Mexico offices, since they're very availible and the 7290s work
worldwide, but also adds the headache of trying to sometimes figure out why someone who is connected
through VPN in Canada can't see a Blackberry server in Dublin, even though he can see the Exchange
server sitting next to it.

*Piloting the Treo 650 and Siemens SX66 Intellisync devices and Intellisync Mobile suite in the US,
where the devices are easier to get, and training the rest of the helpdesk staff and desktop team on
how to support them as we move this to production. (Intellisync Mobile Gateway R0xx0rs for enterprise
wireless email. If you ever need something like this, get it!)

-Maintaining our Mailmarshal filters and monitoring spam that's coming in, where it's coming from, and working on better ways that I can stick my electronic fingers in the rather leaky dyke.

-Handling Active Directory accounts for users, managing shared drives, and email boxes.

-Taking phone calls for user support, remoting in to install software, and frequently answering very dumb questions.

-Helping to manage our Secure Token server that people use to connect remotely to us.

-Oh, and I'm also meeting with vendors to figure out who will be providing the Dublin office with printer services for the next few years.

It's a lot of work for 8 hours a day...

2. Where do you see yourself living in 5 years?

A house that I own, not rent, would be nice. Probably still around Dublin, since I feel like I'm making a pretty good career at Sterling.

3. What makes you laugh the most?

Happy, normal, not neccesarily a joke laugh? Lisa.
Somebody told a joke laugh? Usually guys like Lewis Black, George Carlin, or Dennis Leary. I like guys who put their anger into comedy and observing the world around them.

4. Do you know any good ways to roleplay online?

Text windows. :D MUSHes, things like that are the best way to get things out, once you get the ettiquette down. And they allow for a surprising amount of freedom, depending on how much or how little you want to make into hard objects/code.

5. When are you coming to Pittsburgh next so I can see you? =)

No idea, but I really should sooner or later. Especially since we found out there's apparently a genuine Australian BBQ out there.

1) How are you liking living in a home of your own so far? I know you share with two others, but it's gotta be really different.

I like it a lot, most of the time. Rent sucks, bills suck, bills really, really suck, but there's something to also be said for the freedom and comfort it gives you. It's a space of my own, and things are generally the way we're hoping for them to be.

2) Any preferences among the CoH types/origins? Y'know, like Magic/Blaster, that sort of stuff.

Lately, I seem to be messing with lots of Blaster types. I also like Science a lot for the origin of any character because there's lots of leeway to do all sorts of wacky things in the costume, powers, and bio and get away with it. I do like my Tanker, Scrapper, and Controller a lot though, too...I don't know if I really can say Blaster's my favorite - just happens to be the phase I'm in. :D

3) What sort of cuisine do you prefer (besides it being hot enough to melt your sinuses)? :D

I like "home" cooking from a lot of styles. Thai and Italian dishes, Mexican that you could get in la cochina de su madre, a good Motza ball soup, BBQ or burgers done on the grill...it doesn't have to be spicy, but I like it to have a good flavor and a nice taste and texture.

4) Do you miss singing in the choir?

Sometimes, but not that much, I've noticed.

5) Are you still doing weight training? Or have you moved on/added other things? :D

I've been bad about it lately, to be honest. I'm still trying to go out walking, but I really need to be doing more walking and more weights. It's something Lisa and I have promised to help each other work on.
