Hrm...good and bad since last update...

Good: Spent some time at Alex's, got to play and navigate through parts of FFX. WOO. I need a PS2. Badly. Gave Isa her christmas present, got one in return. I appreciate it's a Transformer, but between me and the LJ, it's one I already have. ;D OTOH, having one and home and away just means I have toys wherever I go...

Bad: Insomnia's getting worse. Tried going to bed before 12:30 the last two nights. Tossed and turned until 3am-5am. What makes it even better is that taking Alison to school meant I had to be up at 8. Then I spent most of today in a hospital waiting room, because my Mom needed to have tests run and wasn't allowed to drive afterwards.

I worry that as much as I love my family, I'm basically spending more and more of my occasional "vacations" (read: Time off where I actually come home instead of staying at the College and working) taking care of/looking after/cleaning up for my family. And that sucks.

Worried I'm getting a bit too jaded.

Worried these sleep problems aren't gonna go away. Because I know at least part of it is being worried about "my" Nikki. (Though how I have the right to claim her I don't quite get...)

On the other hand...I think things are gonna get better, and it's gonna be a good semester once I get back to school. So who knows?

Side note: Looking at the "Friends" section of Nikki's LJ. Sk4p takes an anime poll and comes up as someone described as a "Sex-crazed manipulator"? I really hope his actually personality has more redeeming quantites than that. I think Nikki's used me as a litmus test for guys, lately...and I want her to be happy with someone so bad it hurts. I really don't want to downcheck this one...

On an even better note, because I'm skirting getting too moody and depressed for my own damn good: There are still 18-25 year old Catholic Schoolgirls in the world. Mmmmmmmmm.

It's not that I use you as a litmus test, it's that I like you and want you to meet the guys I'm dating, because you're important to me. :) I want the guys I'm dating to meet you because you're my best friend.

Lack of a sleep schedule comes naturally to anyone that knows squat about computers. There's always one more thing to tweak, one more download to start that you end up waiting up for... =P
