Signs my sanity's going:

Picked up two of the nice "I will stabbitykill you" black rubber handles and metal scissors on my desk, and started snipping them back and forth with each hand until I created a passable version of the Super Mario Bros. theme (World 1-1, natch.)

But, I think we finally got a good chunk of this damn thing beat.

Only bad news: Because 8 hours of my "work" this week was memorial day, I only get regular level OT for last night, not time and a half.

Oh, well.

Because I'm salaried + possible OT, my "Overtime wage" if they have to calculate over time is only what my hourly rate would be if I wasn't salaried. (It's an obscure formula that comes to something like $18 an hour.) Normally, if I had worked OT in addition to a full 40 hours of actual work, I'd get time + a half for ~%26 an hour. But because we had 8 hours of holiday time this week, company policy is that my overtime will only be paid at the "regular" hourly wage.

Oh, yeah, but I see the logic - if someone had 4 days of vacation and then came in and pulled an all-nighter, it'd be pretty easy for them to claim 4+ hours of time and a half, so they don't want that abused.
