True, but there's a surreal sort of comedy to the feds taking his blood covered chainsaw, inspecting it, and then waving him through.

what gets me is that he hitchiked to the border. Carrying a homemade sword, a hatchet, brass knuckles and a bloody chain saw.

"Oh look honey, there's a nice young man needs a ride. let's pick him up."
"I dunno about that. he has a bloody chain saw. that don't look right to me."
"Oh, he's probably just a lumberjack. remember, this is Canada. there's lots of lumberjacks."

I'm glad they let him into the country... the custom agent is right: "being bizarre is not a reason to keep somebody out of this country or lock them up. ... We are governed by laws and regulations, and he did not violate any regulations."

Though I think confiscating the weapons was probably a wise precaution, as was investigating whether or not he was wanted for any crimes.

But, seriously, who tries to cross the border with bloody chainsaws and a slew of other weapons? Way to fail to be stealthy.

Being bizarre, absolutely not. But you'd think that a call to the RCMP, if nothing else, might have occured to say, "Hey, are you guys looking for someone covered in blood with a chainsaw?" They only seemed to consult American authorities.

Obviously he failed his good sense roll, but managed a few critical successes on his bureaucracy test.
