I was just talking about this to my manager last week. To me, it's pretty amazing that a lot of people don't remember that - it seems so regional. I've asked people from other states in my age range and they don't remember (of course we were in 6th grade at the time), but the people who seem to have a memory of it are those who were on the Space Coast. Mayhaps it's the whole thing like 9/11 - it's etched in your memories when you are there and see it with your own eyes versus television.
