Ow.

Screwed up my federal deductions this year. I caught it, but not in nearly enough time to keep from having to pay.

The good news is I am getting an Ohio refund. Bad news is that it, and a chunk of my bonus, are going to the federal government.

Hooray.

Oh well. I know what I did wrong, won't do it again. But still, ow. Kinda makes me wish I could go back to being a dependent!

Yep. And on the upside, at least more than half will be handled by my state return, and the rest comes out of money that I handn't planned to do more than "Pay off credit card and take people out to dinner" with. Just means that instead of steaks at Stoney River, hopefully I still pay off the cards, and I take people out for a pizza.

Just thank your diety that you're not dealing with Guam's system. It usually takes about 2 years (no exageration) to get a refund. I have them take as little as possible out and owe them at the end of the year. Blech.
