So, the more I look at things financially, the more I think my income needs to increase to keep things happy.

So, I'm firing applications off at several big box stores that would let me work nights and weekends for at least a few months, maybe even through next year depending how well things go. So far I've hit Borders, Best Buy, and Barnes & Noble.

Any other fun and wacky suggestions on where I can try my hand?

(No, I don't plan to kill myself by trying to work 2 40 hour jobs. I'm planning for my 40 SCI job, followed by 20-24 hours a week of PT, mostly nights, Saturdays, and 1/2 day Sundays so I can still see people on Sunday afternoons.)

As someone who just finished working 1 and 1/2 jobs, I should warn you that you will be quite exhausted. I worked the box office for all of the shows, which meant full time work 8-5 M-F, and Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. By the end of each six-week run, I was so drained I could barely stand up straight.

On the other hand, I did it to supplement my income, so I understand why you feel the need to do it as well. Just try to keep some down time for yourself. Keep healthy too!

Yeah, wearing myself out is definently a concern.

My basic plan is to try to give myself the majority of one day (Sunday) and at least 1 or 2 nights a week off to recharge myself. With luck, it will work.

Lets hope so! Sticking with a job that is more manual labor and less stress is a good start.

The Best Buy stuff I applied for would be stocking or PC support rather than sales - stuff that either uses my current skills, or uses my ability to carry boxes.

The Borders and B&N jobs were along the same lines.

I worry that sacrificing so much of your free time might have you typing hundreds of sheets of "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" after not too long. Losing your saturdays alone can be really frustrating.

Trust me, I understand the concern. But with luck I will keep things handled, and I trust Alex and Lisa to tell me if I push myself too far or too hard.

Besides, you know as well as I do that I'd be far more likely to type the word "Fuck" 10,000 times.

C&P has lost the disturbing effect, I'm afraid.

My vote is for bartender.

I'm not sure you can bartend in Ohio without getting licensed.

That said, I might just look into it. If I could, there are several drinking establishments in walking distance, and I already own a bow-tie.
