This has not been a good morning.
After falling asleep on the couch while Dave and Alex worked on 40k stuff, I excused myself to try to get some early sleep about 9:30-10ish.
10:45: OD call from work. A woman who had been "downloading MP3s from iTunes...and stuff..." managed to get a couple Trojan Exploiters on her work laptop. (I'm pretty sure that was the "...and stuff...".) Made more complex by the fact her hotel phone kept dying out, getting her machine quarantined, scanned, at least temporarily cleaned, and making an appointment for a detailed check this morning at the Dallas office took about 45 minutes.
12:15: OD call from work. User forgot his RSA token and needed a temp code. Why he didn't call until then I have no idea.
3:00am: OD call from work. User in Mumbai couldn't get to a server. Easy - he had the address wrong. Didn't even have to boot up.
4:45am: OD call from work. User in Bangalore couldn't get development applications to run on a box here in Dublin run by the Unix Dev team. Spent a fun 45 minutes, mostly translating his accent for the Operations staff and getting someone from U.Dev's OD team out of bed so they could bounce the box.
6:15am: Alarm.
6:30am: Alarm pt. Deux
6:55am: Drop Lisa @ Work
7:00am: Get into the office. Drink 3 cups of coffee doctored with hot chocolate and sugar.
7:45am: All overnight tickets resolved, feeling at least vaguely sapient.
I think that when I get home tonight, I'm just going right to bed.
