Oy.

Took Onyx to the spay and neuter clinic, which is fine. Except that their phone listing only had an address that was basically on the other side of town, so I had to get up about an hour earlier than normal to run him over.

When I got there, the receptionist kinda blinked at me. "Dublin? We have an office in Dublin."

*facepalm*

Oh, well.

Onyx was also very well behaved in his carrier...until a passel of very loud barking Rat Terriers came into the waiting room, and quite literally scared the wee out of him.

Oh, well. The carrier was fine but he got a little "wet". The vet helped me clean him off, checked him in, and I'll be going to pick him up in about a half hour to take him home.

When we got M. neutered, the vet warned us he might be sick, woozy, etc. When we got him home, he ran out of his carrier and immediately jumped on my roommate's cat Simon to play with him. The big challenge then was to keep Simon from licking the incision.

I hope Onyx bounces back as well.

Poor kitten.

I'm sure Onyx will survive the snipping...and it might just slow him down a little so that crash helmet isn't quite so necessary.

Just as it was proven that Nothing Can Kill The Grimace, I'm pretty certain that nothing can slow the Onyx.

I suspect he will - and I'll probably lock him in Alex's room for the afternoon, then keep an eye on him once we're home.
