Did my sister-in-law get in touch with you, or vice versa? She wanted to come by earlier, around 2:30 Friday with Gary in tow to do the cleanup & needed a way to get a key if nobody will be there.

Yep. Once we get the keys (dude didn't read the fine print and hasn't moved his stuff out yet, so he asked for 48 hours at closing), I'm going to try to take a few carloads over Thursday, hopefully quite a few on Friday, and then we just have to move the rest with the truck on Saturday.

I don't know if you'll get so lucky, but soon after I finished forwarding my mail and moved in, I started getting a metric ton of $n off coupons for Lowes/Home Depot/etc, which helped a whole lot for the, "Oh, shoot, we need another thing from the hardware store. Again."

I swear, I have never been in hardware stores as much as I was post-moving. And it wasn't like our house needed that much work, it was just one thing after another. More light bulbs, a plumbing wrench for the washers, a drill bit or three, wood screws, etc.

As it is, our first big fix is actually going to involve having a contractor over, so that's job #1.

(Well, OK, including the roof and having to replace the carpet, I guess it's really the third big fix, but it's the first one we're getting the ball rolling on.)
